1 Admissible Plant Parts: Fruit
2 Admissible Ports: All Ports
3 Import Permit Required: An Import Permit is required. To obtain a permit, go to APHIS eFile.
4 Subject to Inspection: This commodity is subject to inspection at the port of entry and all general requirements of 7 CFR 319.56-3.
5 Commercial Consignments Only
6 Federal Order: Federal Order DA-2019-28 [https://www.aphis.usda.gov/import_export/plants/plant_imports/federal_order/downloads/2019/DA-2019-28.pdf], effective November 22, 2019, has updated the import requirements. Consignments must be accompanied by ONE of the following documents:
Phytosanitary Certificate: Consignments must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO) of the country of origin with an additional declaration stating the fruit has been inspected and found free of the symptoms of tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV); OR
Inspection Certificate: Consignments must be accompanied by an inspection certificate document issued by the grower or packer stating the fruit in the consignment has been inspected and found free of the symptoms of ToBRFV. The inspection certificate must include the date of the inspection, the name, title, office, and address of the person issuing the inspection certificate, as well as the names and addresses of the grower and packinghouse.
7 Federal Order: ToBRFV Federal Order. This Federal Order has updated the import requirements for this commodity by requiring an additional declaration on the phytosanitary certificate. "Commercial Consignments Only" is already a requirement for this program.
