Commodity Import Report (CIR)

Import Requirements
1 Admissible Plant Parts: Ear
2 Admissible Ports: All Ports
3 Subject to Inspection: If grown in Canada, this commodity is subject to inspection at the port of entry and all general requirements of 7 CFR 319.56-10.
4 Production Location: If the consignment is harvested in Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nanavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Islands, Quebec, Saskatchewan, or Yukon Territory
  4.1 Port Restriction: If destined to California, Oregon, or Washington, the consignment must be accompanied by a Canadian phytosanitary certificate with an additional declaration stating the corn was fumigated to eliminate the European corn borer. If the consignment lacks the phytosanitary certificate, refuse entry.
  4.2 Port Restriction: If destined to Arkansas, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, or Utah, the consignment must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate from the National Plant Protection (NPPO) of Canada.
  4.3 Port Restriction: If the consignment is destined to any other State, inspect and release. A phytosanitary certificate is not required.
5 Production Location: If the consignment is harvested in British Colombia, inspect and release. A phytosanitary certificate is not required.
6 Date Restriction: For field-grown crops, the growing season is May 1 through October 31.
