The CIR contains current import regulation information for the selected Commodity Import (a specific commodity approved from a designated country, or region, into one or more designated ports). A flag ( Access Restricted to APHIS/CBP ) indicates information that is intended for and available to an APHIS/CBP audience only.

Import Requirements
1 Admissible Plant Parts: Pod
2 Admissible Ports: Ports as Specified in the Import Requirements
3 Import Permit Required: An Import Permit is required. To obtain a permit, go to APHIS eFile.
4 Subject to Inspection: This commodity is subject to inspection at the port of entry and all general requirements of 7 CFR 319.56-3.
5 Other: Okra is admissible into all ports, during the whole year. Treatment is required at certain ports during specified dates. No treatment is required at other times of the year, or at other ports.
6 Date Restriction: May 16 through November 30, require a treatment from those listed below.
  6.1 Port Restriction: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and any city in Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, or Virginia south of the 38th parallel.   6.2 Condition of Entry Treatment: T101-p-2 (Methyl Bromide Fumigation) Require a methyl bromide chamber fumigation using T101-p-2 at an APHIS-approved facility (https://www.aphis.usda.gov/import_export/plants/manuals/ports/downloads/fumigation-providers-us-under-compliance-agreement.pdf); refer to the facility list to determine if a chamber is available at the port of entry.
7 Date Restriction: March 16 through December 31, require a treatment from those listed below.
