Import Requirements
1 Admissible Plant Parts: Fruit
2 Admissible Ports: Continental U.S. Ports
3 Import Permit Required: An Import Permit is required. To obtain a permit, go to APHIS eFile.
4 Subject to Inspection: This commodity is subject to inspection at the port of entry and all general requirements of 7 CFR 319.56-3.
5 Commercial Consignments Only
6 Phytosanitary Certificate: Consignments must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO) of the People's Republic of China.
7 Production Location: Consignments must originate from production locations north of the 33rd Parallel. Jujubes must be grown in approved places of production and packinghouses [https://www.aphis.usda.gov/import_export/plants/manuals/ports/downloads/jujube-from-china-approved-packinghouses.pdf].
8 Port Restriction: Do not import or distribute into or within Hawaii or Puerto Rico.

Additional Requirements
10 In addition to the above, fresh jujubes from China are authorized for importation subject to the following phytosanitary measures:

Registering places of production and packinghouses with the National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO) of China
Limiting registered places of production to locations north of the 33rd Parallel (APHIS considers China to be free of Bactrocera spp. fruit flies above this Parallel), or alternatively, requiring phytosanitary treatment for Bactrocera correcta, B. cucurbitae, and B. dorsalis in accordance with 7 CFR Part 305, which contains APHIS's phytosanitary treatment regulations
Maintaining the identity of the registered production site in which the jujubes were produced on each lot of jujubes intended for export to the United States from that lot's time of harvest until the lot's arrival at the port of entry into the United States
The NPPO of China maintaining a national fruit fly monitoring program
Trapping for fruit flies and grove sanitation in places of production located in a Province in which Carpomyia vesuviana (Ber fruit fly) is known to be present
Recordkeeping of fruit fly detections in registered places of production
